The one-year-long Elder Scrolls Online event called the Season of the Dragon is coming to a close. Many things have happened and players had the chance to take part in new adventures during this year. However, now it's time to embark on the latest adventure with the Dragonhold DLC. This new content addition brings the conclusion to the Season of the Dragon. Players will travel to Southern Elsweyr where the adventures take place. The zone can be compared to the Clockwork City in size. New story quests, a new area to explore, new mysteries to uncover, and new foes to take down await players. Adventurers will also face new world bosses and discover some new delves. The new area has crafting stations so players can create all sorts of items. Speaking of items, there is new gear to collect as well. In addition to the main story line, lots of side quests allow players to discover the lore behind this area. Southern Elsweyr is a post-apocalyptic land. The Knahaten Flu has decimated the population. Those that remain fight to survive. Slavers, pirates, and others don't make survival easier.
The city of Senchal acts as the main hub. There are many people of all races that live here. The city is a safe zone so many come to live under its walls. The Shields of Senchal, an old Imperial legion does its best to assist the inhabitants. Unfortunately, they cannot also secure the outside areas and the people are not the only ones fighting to survive. The flora and fauna have a will of its own that sometimes opposes that of the people. Adventurers will also discover untouched areas such as the Tenmar Forest. You will notice that this new part of the continent has Elsweyr native elements but has a distinctive look. New areas are filled with new enemies. You will be fighting against slavers, pirates, various kinds of monsters, and dragons. Many of the dragons that escaped did not adventure farther than Northern Elsweyr. Many but not all. Some of them came south and they are looking to reclaim the old territories. Where there are dragons, there are dragon worshipers. The Order of the New Moon is the cult that obeys the dragons. Players will take part in dragon hunt events where they will meet new types of dragons: storm and frost. They have different combat mechanics so watch out.
