Elder Scrolls Online has revealed its plans for 2021. The Global Reveal Event took place at the end of January and it shed light on what we can expect in the year that just started. Continuing the tradition of year-long adventures, this year opens the Gates of Oblivion. This is the name of the 2021 adventure and it comes with content additions and new features. Each adventure includes a new expansion. This is one of the most exciting features for all players. The new Elder Scrolls Online expansion is called Blackwood and it's coming in June. However, the Gates of Oblivion content additions start with the Flames of Ambition DLC which is set for release on March 8th for PC and March 16th for consoles. The DLC includes two new dungeons. The quests associated with these dungeons set in motion the events of the expansion. Blackwood will release on June 1st for PC and one week later on consoles. We will have a DLC dungeon pack in the third quarter and a DLC story zone in the fourth quarter of the year. Info on these last two content updates is lacking at the moment.

Gates of Oblivion features Mehrunes Dagon as the main antagonist. The events are set 800 years before the happening of TES IV: Oblivion. The expansion introduces more than 30 hours of story-driven content so TES lore fans rejoice as you will have new plots to discover. Blackwood is the name of the new zone where the expansion takes place. It's a land inhabited by the Argonians and the Imperials. The Companions system is the new feature introduced by the expansion. Players will be able to recruit an ally. Each companion has a unique background story and set of skills. Rockgrove is the new 12-player trial (raid) that's included in this new chapter. More content updates include new public dungeons, delves, and world bosses. Many new side quests will also be added. We can also expect updates that will make the game better.
