Elder Scrolls Online – Who Is Arkasis?
Elder Scrolls Online players are ready to face a new threat in the Stone Garden dungeon. This new dungeon, along with Castle Thorn, is part of the Stonethorn DLC that becomes available in August. Going into a dungeon unprepared is not a good tactic. Get your gear and consumables and learn more about the boss that you will encounter in the Stone Garden.
The story of Arkasis starts in Whiterun. The investigator visits this iconic settlement in an attempt to discover whether the events of the Hounds of Black Moor novel hold some truth or not. It was not a good time for the city of Whiterun. It all began when a Battle-Born member was found dead on the grounds of the Gray-Mane family.
There were talks of lycanthropy and even executions. That's when a mysterious outsider offered to shed light on the happenings. The jarl agreed. The novel tells that the investigator discovers that the jarl becomes a werewolf after drinking a potion concocted by the alchemist Morhjartyr. The investigator catches up with the jarl and the alchemist in the keep of Black Moor where the two of them meet their demise. These events might or might not be true, but what we know for sure is that that there was a stranger who solved the dispute between the two families.
The conclusion was that the alchemist Arkasis was to blame. The name Arkasis appears in the local recollections of three more Skyrim settlements. The story tells that he conducted experiments on the villagers. He managed to escape every time and traveled to another village where he carried on with his experiments.
Several pieces of information lead the investigator to believe that Arkasis is on Nord descent. He is middle-aged and quite tall, which is thought to be the result of ingesting alchemical concoctions.
Arkasis believes himself superior yet he always seeks admiration. He does not have any respect for the lives of others which he sees as mere test subjects. He is known as the Mad Alchemist. That's what we know about him so far. More will be revealed once adventurers enter the Stone Garden. They will have to face his creations and other terrible creatures. The DLC is a premium content addition.
