Elder Scrolls Online has three types of PvP activities: duels, battlegrounds and alliance war. Duels can occur anytime between two players. One of them must challenge the other to a duel and once the invitation was accepted the two players start the duel that ends when one of them reaches 0 health points. Dueling is the most basic type of Elder Scrolls Online PvP and it's just for fun as there are no other dueling rewards except three achievements. Elder Scrolls Online battlegrounds are introduced in Morrowind expansions. Battlegrounds provide players with a battle map and an objective. Players need to be in a four man team to enter a battleground. Here they will compete against two other teams. Three types of scenarios and multiple maps are available. Team Deathmatch rewards players when killing players from the other teams. Domination mode is all about controlling locations on the map. Capture the Flag mode requires players to take the flag from the opponent's base, return it to their headquarters while preventing the enemy teams from doing the same thing. Alliance War is a complex PvP activity.
